The girls

Kyle and I made a quick weekend trip (when I say quick, I mean 32 hours) back to the Midwest last weekend to see our great friend Kayleen Cook marry Kevin Grand. We flew into South Bend and the Dampeers were gracious enough to let us stay with them for the weekend. We had a great time catching up with everyone and wish we could have stayed longer. Kayleen was a gorgeous bride and we are so grateful that we were able to be a part of the big day!

Posing for yet another picture--sitting on a rock, downtown Kalamazoo.

While I was in Michigan I was able to meet up with some of my favorite girls for a night out to celebrate Kayleen's last days as a single gal. She is getting married on 7.25.09 to an awesome guy and we could not be more excited to see her so happy. We spent the night hanging out in Kalamazoo which we haven't all done together (without our boys) in years! After picking up Kayleen at Kevin's house we had dinner at Burdicks then went to Monaco Bay & Wild Bull for a night of drinks, dancing and a lot of laughs. Yes, we did ride the bull and no, I will not be posting those pictures. Our next trip to midwest is for the wedding and we are lucky enough to be staying with the Dampeers for the weekend.

Kalamazoo College Bound

I flew out to Michigan to attend a couple different functions this past weekend (Kyle stayed home to hold down the fort). The primary reason for the trip was to attend my cousin Mitchell's high school graduation party. Mitch graduated first in his class at Loy Norrix, is a Heyl Scholarship recipient (which is an outstanding achievement) and will be playing baseball for Kalamazoo College in the fall.

Wearing Mitch's Cardinals hat. If her Uncle Kyle was there this picture would not have taken place (unless it was a Mets hat).

Sophia's signature face

I didn't take too many pictures with my own camera this past weekend when I was in Michigan but of the ones I did take, these are my favorites of my niece Sophia Grace.
